A while ago I purchased these on asos.com it's time to show these to you (and my dry and chapped (horror) cuticles....(the true reason i was not sure to post these lol)

Een tijdje terug heb ik deze lakken via asos.com besteld en het wordt tijd om ze online te zetten (ook al ben ik een beetje beschaamd over mijn nagelriemen op deze fotos......)

First of all, these pictures don't do this shade justice, of course
my camera turned this into a more blue toned teal, but imagine
a mediterrenean sea with tones of green, deep and vibrant in the
sun, that's what this shade actually is. A deep vibrant
turqouise/teal. This is 2 coats.

Ten eerste, deze foto's doen deze lak geen eer aan, maar ze geven
toch een beetje een idee van de kleur. Mijn camera maakte de
kleur blauwer dan dat hij is, stel je een hele mooie middelandse
zee voor, met groene ondertoon, diep en levendig, vol van
kleur in de volle zon. Dat is deze kleur in het echt. Een
diepe felle turqouise/teal. Dit zijn 2 laagjes.

Pupa recently launched magnetic nail polishes in 9 shades (availability differs in each country).Today I want to show you the orange one. I have to be honest here, at first I was not very interested in the magnetic concept, but I wanted to give it a try anyway. Once I applied the polish (great coverage in one coat) and used the magnets and played a little with the designs, I totally changed my mind about these! This looks seriously unique! And I hope that one day there will be lighter shades too in Magnetic effect (icy baby blue or platinum silver whoooo) The kit contains one bottle of polish and 2 magnets. On the swatches below I used both magnets on different fingers and played a little with the angles so you can create your own unique design.

Pupa lanceerde pas een serie van 9 magnetische nagellakjes (beschikbare kleuren verschillen per land).Vandaag heb ik swatches van de Orange magnetic voor je. Ik moet toegeven dat ik in de eerste istantie niet heel erg warmliep voor het magnetische concept (ik hou niet van teveel drukte op mijn nagels :) maar toen ik de lak eenmaal had aangebracht en ging spelen met de kleurtjes werd ik zowaar enthousiast! Op onderstaande foto's zie je de effecten van de 2 verschillende magneetjes, ik heb ook een beetje met de manier van aanbrengen gespeeld voor een net anders liggend streepjeseffect. Ik hoop echt dat er ook nog eens wat lichtere tinten komen (platina zilver of ijzig baby blauw????) In het setje vind je een lak en 2 magneetjes. Deze leuke setjes zijn nu verkrijgbaar.

Deborah Lippmann mermaid's dreams swatches & review

Deborah Lippmann spring 2012 Mermaid's dreams

Last saturday I was in Den Bosch (Yes I will drive 50 miles for polish ;) to check out the Lippmann collection polishes at parfumerie Martens. Lippmann has a small range of shades and unfortunately there were many reds and neutrals here so I took home Mermaid's dreams (I want On the Beach and Glamorous life soooooo bad! but they were not there :( ) Mermaid's dreams is a metallic green with lots of dazzling glitters, there is a lot going on in this polish and it freaked out my camera, but this gives you a good idea of this interesting shade. This is one that eats topcoat tough, you will need some layers to get rid of the gritty feeling but hey, the shade totally makes up for that ;) This is 2 coats of polish and 3 coats of Essie super duper topcoat. In real life this is so much prettier and the formula is awesome. Love Lippmann.

Afgelopen zaterdag was ik in Den Bosch (ja ik rij dus ff 80 km heen en terug voor een lakje lol) om Lippmann lakken in te slaan bij Parfumerie Martens. Lippmann heeft natuurlijk geen honderden kleuren om uit te kiezen, maar er is meer dan genoeg moois ondanks het bescheiden aantal lakjes. Helaas stonden er in het display vooral veel rode en neutrale kleurtjes maar gelukkig stond Mermaid's dreams er ook tussen dus die ging mee naar huis. (Ik wil on the beach en glamorous life zooooo graag hebben.... :( maar helaas stonden die er niet bij) Mermaid's dream is een metallic groene lak met schitterende glitters, er gebeurt heel veel in deze interessante lak en mijn camera werd er ook een beetje dol van, maar je krijgt een goed idee van deze mooie kleur. Enig nadeel is misschien dat deze lak een beetje ruw opdroogd door de glitters en topcoat opslurpt, maar ach, dat boeit eigenlijk helemaal niet als je zeemeerminnennagels (interessant woord voor galgje...) hebt toch? Dit zijn 2 laagjes Lippmann Mermaid's dreams en 3 laagjes Super duper topcoat van Essie. Geloof me, in het echt is deze lak veeeeel mooier en de lak werkt ook heel erg fijn. Heerlijk merk dit, hopelijk zijn er snel meer verkooppunten!

I am completely in love with all the bright Orange shades for spring, so juicy and bright, maybe they need to grow on you a little if you feel like it's too much. But once you get used to it, other shades will look dull and boring compared to the oranges :)

Ik ben helemaal verliefd op feloranje kleurtjes, precies wat ik nodig heb om uit mijn winterslaap te komen, dus ik ben helemaal blij met alle mooie oranje lakken uit de lentecollecties. Lekker fel en fris, misschien moet je er even aan wennen en vind je dat het een beetje té is, geef het een kans en je zal daarna weer moeten wennen aan alle zachte pastelkleurtjes :)

L'occitane Cherry Princess, cerisier princesse

Cerisier Princesse, the Cherry princess range by L'occitane is a floral fruity fragrance, delicate and fresh.The fragrance is based on a fairytale about a beautifull princess who blushed everytime someone commented her on her beauty, her cheeks got the color of cherryblossom. The regular Cherry blossom fragrance is more sophisticated, this one is much sweeter. I love both, but for spring/summer I prefer the Cherry princess sweetness :) I always carry around the solid perfume and one of the L'occitane hand creams.

De inspiratie voor de geur is een mooie sprookjesprinses die elke keer als ze een complimentje kreeg wangen kreeg in de kleur van kersenbloesem :) De gewone Cherry blossom geur is een stuk minder zoet dan deze, ik vind ze allebei erg lekker maar nu voor de aankomende lente/zomer mag het van mij best wat zoeter :) Ik heb de solid perfume altijd bij me, net als een van de handcremes van L'occitane.

Play date is part of the go overboard collection. I am a little over the dark shades and I need some bright shades to cheer me up, so I skipped Go overboard and armed & ready. Play date is a fun and bright light purple shade. Exellent formula, this is 2 coats.

Dit fijne merk is een weldaad voor de droge kriebelhuid, één nadeel, mocht je houden van geparfumeerde producten dan moet je bij het gebruik van Decubal je geurbehoefte op een andere manier bevredigen want de producten zijn geurloos en dat kan even wennen zijn, zeker bij de bodycreme. Al kan het nadeel natuurlijk ook een voordeel zijn, want deze geurloze formules zullen niet vloeken met je parfum. Kijk dat is ook weer handig! En ik ben al jaren aan de geurloze deodorants, ik wissel tussen deoleen en keops van Roc, maar ik ga deze zeker uitproberen.

Douglas now offers a range of shades from their own brand, Douglas absolute nails.There are 15 fabulous shades to choose from. Lena is a fuchsia creme, great shade and perfect formula. I was really surprised by the quality (these retail for 4,95EUR) so I will go back and get more :) This is 2 easy coats, no topcoat. Red Carpet report: The 2012 Grammy Awards

Gee...I really think I am jaded, altought there were a few gowns that made me very happy at the Grammy red carpet. I wonder if many changed their coloured outfit for a black one, because there was a lot of black going on even on women who usually make colourful appearance. In a way that pisses me off a little, not because I don't like black, but if the black outfits are meant as a tribute to Whitney, I always wonder if it's an image thing or true respect. Let's be brutally honest here, I think most artist looked down on her because of her life struggles and now she is praised by all. When will people learn to show appericiation when someone is still around instead of doing that when it is too late. Poor Whitney got so much bad press and now they can't praise her enough for her talent... But back to the red carpet (I really needed to get that off my chest, Whitney was a beautiful singer who had some very unfortunate life stuggles, I always hoped she would rise above them and be that phenomenal artist once again. Sending her daughter strength for this immense loss..poor girl..)

Here are my red carpet winners for the 2012 Grammy awards, let's not make this too heavy for the mondaymorning ;) Ps I also included 2 men who really looked handsome in their grammy outfit ;)

Goh....ik ben echt een beetje afgestompt....er waren best een aantal mooie outfits bij de Grammy's maar ik heb niet op het puntje van mijn stoel gezeten. Ik vraag me af of veel sterren al vooraf hadden besloten om zwart te dragen of dat er veel last minute zwarte outfits bij zaten. Weet je dat ik daar een beetje pissig om wordt? Niet vanwege de zwarte jurken, dat kan erg mooi zijn, maar de eerbied die celebs voor elkaar hebben als je eenmaal dood bent, terwijl ze hoogstwaarschijnlijk op een ander neerkeken toen die nog leefde. Wanneer gaan mensen nou eens leren elkaar te waarderen als ze er nog zijn? Arme Whitney heeft heel wat te verduren gehad van de pers, en nu wordt ze de hemel in geprezen....tja jongens, daar is ze nu al hoor....(ervanuitgaande dat er een is ;) Whitney was een prachtige zangeres en het is heel heel spijtig dat ze zoveel problemen had, ik bleef altijd hopen dat ze zou herrijzen als het fenomeen dat ze ooit was. Ik wens haar dochter sterkte toe bij dit verschrikkelijke verlies, dat arme meisje...)

Nu terug naar de red carpet looks om het een beetje luchtig te houden op de maandagochtend. Ik heb er ook 2 heren bijgedaan die er zeer handsome uitzien in hun Grammy outfit.

Quick Pupa spring 2012 Jeans n roses swatches

Pupa Jeans n Roses is all about pink shiny lips and metallic eyes, so when I spotted a display I did some quick swatches, not the best ones I ever did...But they give a good idea of the shades and textures (and my dry dry skin when you click to enlarge the picture :S ) Unfortunately the blue eyepencil was sold out so I was unable to swatch that. I love these shades but can't buy them all...what shall I get??? do you have favorites??? (Maybe your opinion will help me pick some shades :)

Pupa Jeans n Roses draait om roze glanzende lippen en uitgesproken metallic oogmake-up, dus toen ik een display spotte heb ik even wat swatches gemaakt, niet mijn beste werk....Maar deze foto's geven een goed beeld van de kleuren en texturen (en mijn heeeele droge handen die je extra goed ziet als je op de foto klikt voor een vergote weergave :S ) Helaas heb ik geen swatches van het blauwe oogpotlood, die was al uitverkocht :( Ik kan echt heel moeilijk een keuze maken want ik wil eigenlijk alle oogschaduws en potloodjes, en de mediumroze gloss maar helaas moet je wel eens keuzes maken...Wat zijn jouw favorieten??? (ik ben nogal beïnvloedbaar dus misschien kan ik dmv jouw mening makkelijker een keuze maken lol)

Essie spring 2012 Tour de Finance swatches & comparison

When I checked out the bottle I was a little disappointed thinking
this was a dupe for last summer's super bossa nova, I included
a comparison in this post to show you it is not :) Tour de
finance has a blue-ish reflection in the shimmers and is opaque
and smooth in 2 coats. This color was not my thing at first, but
I started to love it more and more 

toen ik het flesje in mn handen had was ik eigenlijk al
teleurgesteld want ik dacht een dupe voor essie's
super bossa nova van vorige zomer in mijn handen te hebben.
Dit is dus niet het geval, vandaar dat ik meteen even een
vergelijking heb gedaan :) Tour de Finance heeft mooie
shimmers die een blauwige gloed geven en deze lak
is mooi dekkend en egaal in 2 laagjes. Deze kleur was
