Random Jessica swatches

Jessica is one of my all time favorite polish brands but somehow I
feel they are not putting themselves out there so much, such a shame
because they have amazing products. These polishes are 10 years
old but all of these are still available (except for hip boooo!) so this
is old formula and I have not tried the new one yet so I am only
showing you these for the fabulous colors :) I hope to swatch

Jessica is een van mijn favoriete nagelverzorgingsmerken alleen doen
ze niet extreem veel aan promotie waardoor ze niet echt aanwezig
lijken...erg jammer want ze hebben echt waanzinnig fijne producten
voor zowel de verzorging van je nagels als lakken. Het goede
nieuws is dat Jessica weer in Nederland en België verkrijgbaar
is via http://www.jessicacosmetics.eu/ ! De swatches die ik je nu laat
zien zijn van lakken die ik ruim 10 jaar in mijn bezit heb, slechts
één daarvan is niet meer verkrijgbaar (350 hip...snik snik). Dit
zijn lakken uit de tijd dat alle hele slechte chemicaliën er nog in
mochten dus ik kan je nog niets vertellen over hoe de huidige 
lakken werken, maar je kan wel vast de prachtige kleuren zien. 
Ik hoop je binnenkort lakken met de moderne formule te laten zien.
Aangezien het nogal veel foto's zijn kan je de swatches zien na de read
more break. Hopelijk brengt dit wat kleur op deze grijze dag. Fijne zondag!

Essie Brand new bag case study & lady like swatches

Two more Essie's from the 2011 fall collection, Lady like and Case study. Both formula's are excellent and these shades suprised me, as I mentioned earlier, this collection of neutral shades might look a little boring, but I like the classy and elegant look. These are total Blair Waldorf shades (Yes I admit, I love gossip girl... ;)

Nog twee Essie's uit de herfstcollectie, Lady like en Case study. Beide hebben een uitstekende samenstelling en deze kleuren waren een verassing, want zoals ik al eerder zei, deze collectie met neutrale tinten lijkt misschien saai op het eerste gezicht maar ik ben helemaal fan van deze elegante tinten. Dit zijn kleurtjes die Blair Waldorf zou dragen (ja ik geef toe ik ben gek op Gossip girl...:)

Collistar Carisma fall 2011 polishes part I Graphite & Green Lamé

Okay I already showed you graphite in a previous post with opi's Mad as a hatter (click here for that post) but here it is solo with one of the other shades from the Carisma collection, Green lamé, a gorgeous green "suede" mat shimmer. Both polishes have an excellent formula, even green lamé which dries matte is not in a rush to dry (the thing with most mattes is that you really have to hurry because they dry so fast) it dries fast but you have enough time to apply it. I also did pics of green lamé with shiny topcoat. For availability check www.collistar.com they also have a facebook page to get connected with the brand.

Ik heb je graphite al in een eerder bericht laten zien met opi's mad as a hatter, mocht je het gemist hebben, klik dan hier .Hier zie je graphite nog even solo en tevens een van de andere kleuren uit de Carisma collectie, green lamé, een hele mooie groene "suede" matte shimmer. Beide lakken zijn van uitmuntende kwaliteit, zelfs green lamé is heel fijn, de meeste matte lakken drogen zo snel dat je echt moet opschieten wat nog wel eens frustrerend kan zijn maar deze lakt super. Ik heb er ook 2 foto's bijgezet van green lamé met een laagje glanzende topcoat. Deze kleuren zijn nu al verkrijgbaar bij diverse Da drogisterijen en binnenkort ook bij de luxe parfumerie. For this fall/winter Koh presents a collection that is based on finding a balance, the shades of this collection are pure and powerfull. Inside 2011 September issues part I

I hate when summer ends, but there is always one really good thing about the end of August, the September issues. I already got 3 of them and I would like to show you my highlights of these mags. I love the size of these magazines, nothing better than making some tea and reading these epic sized ad filled fashion encyclopedia's. My husband always comments on how many ads there are in these magazines, but I love to read them for those ads lol :) This fall is all about bright red, emerald green and anthracite grey. I just made photos of the magazines, easy peasy....Do you read these magazines? ps you can click the images for enlarged view.

Ik vind het vreselijk als ze zomer op zn einde loopt, maar het eind van Augustus heeft altijd een groot voordeel, de internationale September edities van de grote modebladen liggen dan in de winkels.Ik heb er al 3 en ik wil graag mijn favoriete items met je delen. Ik ben vooral gek op de dikte van deze mode encyclopedieën, lekker met een grote mok thee op de bank als het regent (wat de laatste tijd nogal eens het geval is zucht) Manlief vind het altijd vreselijk dat er zoveel advertenties in de bladen staan, maar ik vind het juist heerlijk om foto's te kijken :) Deze herfst draait om felrood, smaragdgroen en antracietgrijs. Ik heb gewoon foto's van de bladen gemaakt, lekker makkelijk ;) Lees jij wel eens internationale edities van de modebladen? One of my first loves in polishland was Jessica cosmetics, as a Marketing Management student I worked for the distributor as an intern. The Jessica approach to nailcare is unique and their shades are outstanding. I Cherish the polishes I still have from my days as an intern :) Jessica now has a new distributor in the Benelux to now I can spoil my nails again with their amazing formula and treatments (Nourish is a must must have seriously). De Jessica benadering voor nagelverzorging is uniek en hun lakken zijn fantastisch. Jessica heeft nu een nieuwe distributeur dus na enkele jaren afwezigheid is dit heerlijke merk weer verkrijgbaar in de Benelux! Tijd om mijn nagels weer eens goed met Jessica te vertroetelen (vooral de nourish is een must must have). Collistar Graphite & Opi Mad as a hatter manicure

I was swatching the collistar fall collection and this combination popped into my mind so
I gave it a try I really liked the result :) This is 2 coats of collistar Graphite and on the tips Opi's mad as a hatter finished off with a coat of Opi rapidry topcoat. Have a great sunny weekend!

Ik was de collistar herfstcollectie aan het swatchen toen deze combi me te binnen schoot en ik ben best tevreden over het resultaat. Dit zijn 2 laagjes collistar Graphite en op de tips zit Opi's mad as a hatter. Als finishing touch een laagje Opi Rapidry topcoat. Fijn (zonnig) weekend!

Mavala Fall 2011 Paradoxe fall collection preview

Mavala's fall collection for 2011 is a pretty mix of cremes and pearls in deep beautiful shades. These will be available at the end of September. Which is your favorite shade? Good thing the Mavala's are budget friendly because I know I will get all 6 of them :)

Glamour Purse is a cappuccino beige. It has a hint of Taupe but is not as grey as most taupe's I think.
Formula is awesome and this is 2 coats. Have a lovely day!

glamour Purse doet mij nog het meest aan cappuccino denken het heeft een vleugje taupe maar is niet zo donker en grijzig als de meeste Taupe's vind ik. De formule is waanzinnig en dit zijn 2 laagjes. Fijne dag!

Bop Till you drop a great coral shimmer, this is 2 coats, no topcoat.
This is not what I expected from the promo pics (In my mind it was a jelly collection), but it is a beautiful shade.

Bop til you drop is een prachtige koraalkleurige shimmer, dit zijn 2 laagjes zonder topcoat.
Dit is trouwens totaal niet wat ik van deze kleur verwachtte na het zien van de promoplaatjes,
ik had verwacht dat het een collectie van jelly's zou zijn, maar ik vind dit veeeel beter :)

Peachy Keen
I am not sure where the peachiness is in this shade...Just a stunning nude pearl, very chic and elegant and a great shade for peeptoe pedi's! This is 2 coats, you only need 2 thin coats for this to be opaque and not a thick layer like on my ringvinger lol, I did not even notice that untill now :) I wanted to to better swatches but I cut all my nails short yesterday after a big breaking trauma on my ringvinger...so it's better to have them all short and start over growing them (boohoo)

Ik zie geen perzik in deze kleur...maar eerder een hele mooie pearl nude,erg elegant en chic en een superkleur voor je pedicure, zeker als je vaak peeptoe's draagt! Je hebt maar 2 dunne laagjes nodig (dus niet zoals ik op mijn ringvinger heb gedaan lol) Ik heb deze foto toch maar gebruikt aangezien ik gisteren alles helemaal kort heb geknipt, ik had echt een megabreuk dus we beginnen maar even helemaal opnieuw... (snik)

Essie Fall 2011 Carry on swatches & bottle comparisons

Carry on is a rich vampy raisin creme which shows off her warm side in direct sunlight but shows her dark side where there is less light. the formula is awesome I did 2 coats. I made pictures in different strengths of light so you can see all aspects of this delicious polish. I also did a bottle comparison so hope that helps. (I don't own many dark vampy shades so this was the best I can do) I got the mini's but I am pretty sure I am going to treat myself with the fullsize of this shade. Have a great (lazy) sunday!

Carry on is een rijke duistere rozijnkleurige cremelak die haar warme kant in de zon laat zien en haar donkere kanten op plaatsen waar minder licht is. De lak werkt heerlijk, dit zijn 2 laagjes. Ik heb foto's in verschillende lichtsterktes gemaakt zodat je alle kanten van deze magnifieke kleur kan zien. Ik heb ook een paar andere donkere tinten naast Carry on gezet zodat je een beetje vergelijk hebt. (Ik heb niet heel veel donkere kleuren zoals je kan zien dus hopelijk kan je hiermee vooruit :)  Ik heb de mini's aangeschaft maar denk dat ik mezelf toch ook maar op de fullsize ga trakteren. Fijne (luie?) zondag ;)

Wella professional shampoo & conditioner review

Haircare is a very important item in my beauty routine, I am lazy, so I need my products to do the trick and keep my hair as low maintenance as possible which is not easy for dry, frizzy, curly (highlighted) hair. I tested these products on myself and stephdaughter Indy who has a very different hairtype than (natural blonde, thick and straight) me, and I can already tell you this, it worked for us both. I have tried these products for a month and Indy for 2 weeks. Wella Professionals Brillance shampoo fine/normal 250ml
This shampoo for colored shampoo has a fruity fragrance and smoothes hair when cleansing (I could run my fingers trough my hair after washing it, that never happens). don't expect thick layers of foam, just a reasonable amount. For greasier hair I would recommend another shampoo from the Wella professional line but there is enough to choose from, I will expand my Wella collection soon :)

Wella Professionals Enrich conditioner thick 200ml
Subtle fruity fragranced cream to hydrate dry hair and leave it incredibly soft. For me this might have been a little to heavy but for Indy it was perfect! She is a tomboy and after playing all day her hair looks like a hurricane went trough, seriously....So washing and brushing her hair is not always fun and sometimes painful to get it all in place again. But this conditioner made it so fun and easy, I recommend this contitioners to all moms and dads for trouble free childrens haircare routines. (Mark did Indy's hair a couple of days ago and he was very excited about the products.) Combing after washing was effortless, plus her hair was supershiny and I love the scent the products leave in the hair (nothing beats the scent of fresh and clean hair :).

Haarverzorging neemt een belangrijke plek in in mijn beautyroutine, vooral omdat ik qua haarverzorging erg lui ben en echt niet elke dag zin en tijd heb om alles in het gareel te brengen. Ik heb echt producten nodig die mijn haar zo goed verzorgen dat ik na een wasbeurt een paar dagen niets hoef te doen (en dat valt niet mee met pluizig, droog, krullend haar). Ik gebruik deze producten zelf nu een maand en ik heb mijn stiefdochter Indy ook als proefkonijn gebruikt (ze heeft een heel ander haartype dan ik, blond, dik en stijl haar) Deze producten zijn verkrijgbaar bij de Wella salon, check http://www.wella.com/ voor verkooppunten.

Deze shampoo voor gekleurd haar heeft een fruitige geur en maakt het haar al glad tijdens de eerste wasbeurt (na het wassen gleden mijn vingers zo door mijn haar, dat heb ik nog nooit meegemaakt...) verwacht geen dikke lagen schuim, maar een subtiel geurig schuim dat je haar mild reinigt. Voor vetter haar zou ik een andere shampoo kiezen, maar er is voldoende in het Wella assortiment te vinden. Ik denk dat ik af en toe ga afwisselen met een shampoo voor wat vetter haar, mijn hoofdhuid wordt nogal snel vet. Dus mijn Wella collectie zal snel groeien... :) Adviesverkoopprijs België 10,10€

Wella Professionals Enrich conditioner thick 200ml

Deze creme met subtiele fruitgeur werkt hydraterend en maakt het haar superzacht, voor mij was dit product iets te zwaar (denk dat die voor fijn/normaal haar beter voor mijn haar is, hiervan werd mijn haar weer té zacht :) maar voor Indy's volle bos was dit een wondermiddel! Even uitleggen, Indy is een echte wildebras en aan het eind van de dag heeft ze altijd iets wat nog het beste te omschrijven is als coupe vogelnestje....en dat zorgt nogal eens voor pijnlijke borstelsessies. Met deze conditioner was het een makkie, de borstel vloog door haar haar en het was de dagen erna ook veel makkelijker uit te borstelen. Zelfs manlief merkte op dat het kammen zo makkelijk ging na het wassen met deze producten. Kijk als manlief dat zegt, dat wil wat zeggen ;) Ik kan dit product dan ook van harte aanbevelen aan alle papa's en mama's die weleens met de handen in het haar zitten vanwege de haarverzorgingsroutine van de kids. En voor alle (stief)moeders en niet moeders zijn dit ook gewoon hele fijne producten. Ander pluspunt, het haar ruikt zo lekker fruitig na het wassen en het is zuinig in gebruik. Teveel smeren is gewoon zonde. Adviesverkoopprijs België  12,80€.
