whoa! so stunning, seems to glow from within. this was 3 coats but
totally worth the effort, this color is really hard to describe, indoors it
is more purple and in sunlight more brown, oh well, it's pretty amazing,
that says it all :)





Slow motion
Pale lilac pearl/frost brushstrokes fade whenpolish dries. I adore
this type of shades, so crisp and clean.





Cashmere or loose me
milkchocolate with fine copper shimmer. Gives great coverage in
2 coats.





Elle's spell
3 coats, not sure what to think about this color,
 raspberry base with flakies. Goes on quite sheer,
great for layering but not my cup of tea.



EssieTopless&Barefoot & French affair collection overview

This is the last one of the 4 Essie mini's from the French affair spring collection. Topless&Barefoot is a nude creme beige which i really love, the formula is smooth and opaque in 2 coats, this is also a great pedi color if you change footwear a lot in the summer ;) I have added the swatches of the other colors, I did not purchase sand tropez and kisses and bises (looked to similar to jessica's chic) because i did not feel they would make a useful contribution to my stash. Overall I do like this collection altough the pink and lilac are not groundbreaking shades (but I can imagine these shades are topsellers and eventually it's all about cashflows right ;) Coat azure is a stunner and I like the names of the shades, they are more summer than spring to me but oh well :) Enjoy this beautiful spring day and don't forget the spf ;)

Dit is de laatste van de 4 Essie mini's uit de French affair lentecollectie. Topless&Barefoot is een nude creme beige die ik heel erg mooi vind, de formule is ook prima en dekt in 2 laagjes. Dit is trouwens ook een topkleur voor op de teentjes mocht je vaak van schoenen wisselen ;) Ik heb meteen de swatches van de andere mini's eronder gezet voor een compleet overzichtje. Ik heb sand tropez en kisses en bises (Jessica chic?) niet aangeschaft omdat die niet echt een noemenswaardige aanvulling op mijn collectie zouden zijn, en je moet jezelf toch ooit een halt toeroepen toch???? hmmmm.....Naar mijn mening is dit een fijne collectie, de lila en roze lak zijn niet echt innovatieve hoogstandjes, maar ik snap dat dit soort tinten veel gedragen wordt en er moet ook geld verdient worden...Coat azure is echt prachtig en de namen van de lakken vind ik errug leuk, eerder zomers dan lente-achtig maar dat mag de pret niet drukken :) Geniet van deze mooie lentedag en vergeet de spf niet ;)

Barielle blackened bleu, A bouquet for Ava and snow day swatches & review



Blackened bleu, 3 coats. this one goes on quite sheer
so you really need 3 coats, but the result is quite stunning,
 It's a black/navy base with blue shimmer. I really love this color.



A bouquet for Ava is opaque in 2 coats but I must
admit these shades have to grow on me, i am not sure if it's
 the color or the creme finish, it is pretty but i can't
 say what it is that turns me off....Important notice:
especially when you have dry brittle nails like me;
Use basecoat! This one caused major stains on my nails,
so protect your nails from soaking up all the blue pigment.

Snow day gives good results in 2 coats, this grey metallic frost 
with subtle blue tones does leave some brushstrokes,
 but brushstrokes never stopped me before (sorry frostphobics,
 I am a die hard frost lover:) This color is a great shade and
 the frost finish makes it even better. Maybe I should do a post
about my favorite frosts ;)

OPI Katy Perry's Last friday night over baby blue & collection skittles

Many were dissapointed that lfn was a little on the sheer side, but layered like this it is pretty awesome! So here are some swatches of lfn over koh! baby blue, but i guess it will look good over most blue shades, maybe even over darker ones, or I vant to be a lone star from the Texas collection. Have a great weekend!!! xoxo

Velen waren een beetje teleurgesteld dat lfn een beetje aan de transparante kant is, maar hier heb ik de lak gebruikt over een babyblauwe lak en het resultaat is best wel waanzinnig! Hier zijn wat swatches van lfn over koh! baby blue, dus experimenteer er maar lekker op los met lfn, volgens mij is ie ook erg mooi over een donkere lak of over I vant to be a lone star uit de Texas collectie. Fijn weekend!!! xoxo

Opi Fall 2011 collection: Touring America

Hopefully we can enjoy a lovely spring and a good sunny summer before fall 2011 kicks in but at least there is one good thing soming up this fall and it's Opi's fall 2011 touring America collection, the news was on Opi's Facebook page (if you are not yet a member become one now, it's really great!) It will take a while before this collection is available, but it never hurts to know what is coming our way ;) I am deeply in love with I Eat Mainly Lobster & My Address is Hollywood, what do you think of this collection???

Collistar Italian look spring/summer 2011 nailpolish skittle swatches & comparison

I found the new collistar look while running some errands and made some quick swatches in the store, so forgive me for these being not my best work, but you get a pretty good impression of the colors and the colors really don't disappoint, the formula was a little thin, but drying time was excellent! (after polishing I got back in the car immediately and the polish made it trough that test really well ;) For the comparisons I added a layer of topcoat (not sure why I did not do that with the first picture..These are all 2 coats. As you can see I am holding a bottle of topcoat...sometimes i am a little flaky) Anyway, these collistars are very pretty and the formula is very nice as well. I love these colors so much that I even found some near dupes in my stash, but I am thinking of buying these anyways :) Let's have a closer look :) check out the entire collection on http://www.collistar.it/

Tijdens het boodschappen doen kwam ik de nieuwe collistar look tegen in een luxe drogisterij en moest natuurlijk even de lakjes proberen, dit is niet mijn beste werk, want ik stapte meteen na het lakken weer in de auto (vind het heel knap dat de lak het overleefd heeft) De formule was iets dunner dan ik gewend ben, maar dat had wel een supersnelle droogtijd als gevolg. alle kleuren zijn in 2 laagjes aangebracht. Voor de vergelijking heb ik een laagje topcoat aangebracht, vraag me niet waarom ik daar niet eerder aan heb gedacht (hou zelfs een flesje topcoat vast DUH!) maar soms ben ik een beetje verstrooid.....In ieder geval....van deze 3 mooie tinten met een fijne sneldrogende formule wordt ik errug blij, ik vind deze kleuren zelfs zo mooi dat ik al een paar lakken bezit die er erg op lijken, maar ik denk dat ik ze alsnog ga aanschaffen, want ik ben erg benieuwd naar de duurzaamheid van de Collistar lakken. Check http://www.collistar.nl/ voor meer info over dit fijne Italiaanse merk.

Koh! brights collection bottle preview and skittle swatches spring/summer 2011

goedemorgen! Vandaag heb ik fotos van de koh brights collectie voor je. Een van de kleuren is de langverwachte Blue Lagoon, maakt blue lagoon de verwachtingen waar??? Kijk en oordeel zelf ;) Alle skittle swatches zijn 2 laagjes, ik hoop snel de complete swatches te kunnen doen. Er is al wat discussie of je deze collectie een brights collectie mag noemen, naar mijn mening hoeft bright niet perse te staan voor superfelle knalkleuren, ik denk meer dat er met bright opbeurend en vrolijk bedoelt wordt, kleuren die een positieve stemming beïnvloeden. pink Sparitual swatches & spring collections preview: Evolve and Truth

I got these 2 Sparituals as a gift a little while ago and I really love their philosophy and formula. These 2 colors are part of last octobers breast cancer awareness collection, and they were limited editions, but I still wanted to show them to you. Ik heb deze 2 Sparitual lakken een tijdje terug gekregen en ik ben echt helemaal fan van de fijne formule en de filosofie van dit mooie merk. Deze 2 lakken waren onderdeel van de breast cancer awarenesscollectie van afgelopen oktober. Dit waren limited editions maar ik wil ze toch even laten zien. De nieuwe lentecollecties zijn ook al verkrijgbaar, de Truth collectie bestaat uit felle stralende tinten en de evolve collectie zijn mooie neutrale lakken.
