Essie Winter 2010 Going incognito swatches & comparison

So Pretty! No words are needed here, this is 2 smooth coats. have a great weekend!!!!

OPI Burlesque gradient, A sparkle-icious Ogre......some funky swatches

The Burlesque glitters are quite captivating on their own, but what happens if you mix them with another color? I love to play with colors and effects :) Please e gentle, this is only my 2nd gradient attempt.For this mani I used 2 coats of Ogre the top blue and 2 gradient coats of Sparkle-icious.(start polishing from the top of the nail, first coat covers half the nail, 2nd coat only the top) I think Funky dunky will make an excellent base as well. I also did an extremely blinged out gradient with a swiss polish and a Burlesque so stay tuned ;) Enjoy!

Nog even en ze zijn verkrijgbaar, de onweerstaanbare Burlesque lakken van Opi, de swatches komen snel maar ik wou jullie eerst deze combi laten zien. De Burlesque glitters zijn op zichzelf al adembenemend, maar wat gebeurt er als ze worden gecombineerd met andere kleuren? Ik vind het heerlijk om te spelen met kleuren en effecten :) Wees mild, dit is mijn  tweede gradient experiment :) Voor deze manicure heb ik 2 laagjes Ogre the top blue en 2 gradient laagjes sparkle-icious gebruikt (lak vanaf de top van je nagel, lak eerst de helft en met het volgende laagje alleen de top) Funky dunky is volgens mij ook een mooie om deze gradient mee te doen. Ik heb ook een superbling variant gemaakt met een Swiss lak en een Burlesque beauty...wordt vevolgd! Enjoy!

Essie Winter 2010 & Smokin hot swatches

    













The Essie Winter 2010 is an all creme collection and I am really pleased with these colors, saturated serene and vampy. Left to right on top picture: Going incognito, hot coco, luxedo and smokin hot. I really had fun swatching these, today I will show you smokin hot, a deep gorgeous grey with a hint purple and brown. I like earl grey tea, smokey and mysterious and I know this is a weird comparison but the color made me think of the tea haha (but by now you know I am a little weird ;) This was a 2 coats no topcoat, Going incognito (with green comparison) and luxedo (with a china glaze halloween topping) are next so stay tuned :)

De Essie wintercollectie bestaat uit cremelakken en ik ben ontzettend blij mee met deze serene vampy kleuren. Van links naar rechts op bovenste foto: going incognito, hot coco, luxedo en smokin hot. Ik had echt plezier in het swatchen van deze mooie classy en toch aparte kleuren, vanaag beginnen we met smokin hot, een grijs met een hint bruin en paars. Ik ben gek op earl grey tea, en op de een of andere manier doet deze kleur mij daaraan denken (earl grey is een rokerige thee zou dat het zijn, ach je weet ondertussen dat ik een beetje raar ben ;) Dit zijn 2 laagjes zonder topcoat. Binnenkort volgen going incognito (met groene vergelijking) en Luxedo (met wel een hele bijzondere halloween topping van china glaze) dus stay tuned en voor nu Enjoy!

Opi Swiss: Glitzerland

Glitzerland may look quite flashy with all its shimmer and trust me it is, but somehow this polish goes with every outfit and every occasion, it stands out and still blends in. This gorgeous champagne/golden shimmer is both festive and demure, I absolutely adore it! One of those colors I use when I am unable to pick a color (yes sometimes it can take really long before I make a choice...) this is one of my Swiss favorites. This was 2 coats, no topcoat, Opi swiss polishes are available at your authorized Opi salon. Enjoy!

Glitzerland ziet er misschien vrij opzichtig uit met alle glimmers, maar geloof me, op de een of andere manier is deze lak zowel glamorous als ingetogen, opvallend maar toch bescheiden. Deze prachtige champagnegouden shimmer is feestelijk en chic en ik ben er helemaal weg van! Dit is een kleur die ik draag als ik niet kan kiezen, (dat duurt soms erg lang bij mij...zie je het voor je...starend naar een paar flesjes lak....tja....) en met deze lak zit je altijd goed, dit is echt een van mijn Swiss favorieten. Swarovski for Pink Ribbon

It's amazing how many brands are supporting pink ribbon, Swarovski is one of them and they have some very interesting bling goodies to support the breast cancer awareness campain. I purchased the pink glammed up pen. I think the items may vary per country, I got this one at the Swarovski store in Amsterdam, where you can purchase the 3 limited edition pink ribbon items, the pen, a pin and a lovely bracelet.

Maybe you are so lucky to not have experienced breast cancer in your circle, but please make sure to check your girls once a month (check http://www.pinkribbon.org/ for info) and in case of doubt go to the doctor and always always listen to your instincts. At 17 I discovered something odd in my breast and te doctor told meI was too young for cancer, but i needed to be sure. So after scans and punture all was good. My point? Don't be scared to ask, it does not always have to be a bad result and if you are up for the battle, it is always better to find it in an early stage. For all the women out there fighting cancer, I applaud you and admire you, even when you are feeling down, know that there are so many thinking of you and support you. As women, we have to do this together, Yes we can!

Het is ontzettend fijn dat er steeds meer merken zijn die zich inzetten voor de campagne van Pink Ribbon en daarmee de aandacht voor borstkanker te vergroten. Swarovski is ook van de partij en heeft een paar hele mooie items in de winkel liggen namelijk een pen, een pin en een armband. Ik heb de pen aangeschaft in de Swarovski store in Amsterdam. Het aanbod va de pink ribbon items varieert per land.

Misschien ben jij een van de geluksvogels die nog geen kanker in de nabije omgeving heeft meegemaakt, maar toch, probeer e een gewoonte van te maken je borsten regelmatig te checken. Voor tips check http://www.pinkribbon.nl/ hier vind je teven de shop met alle leuke goodies die je kunt aanschaffen om pink ribbon te steunen. Dus check regelmatig en bezoek bij twijfel de huisarts. Toen ik 17 was ontdekte ik een knobbeltje in mijn borst, de huisarts vezekerde mij dat he goedaardig was, maar ik was niet gerustgesteld en wou toch dat er even naar gekeken werd, na een mammografie en punctie bleek alles in orde, ik een pijnlijke ervaring rijker maar had wel rust in mijn hoofd, de moraal van dit verhaal? Het hoeft niet altijd slecht nieuws te zijn, dus ook als je ermee loopt te tobben laat het even onderzoeken, hoe eerder je het ontdekt hoe beter het te behandelen is. En vergeet niet, mocht je een van de vrouwen zijn die momenteel strijd tegen kanker, je bent niet alleen en je hoeft het niet alleen te doen. Ook al laat je je hoofd af en toe hangen en stromen de tranen over je wangen, vergeet niet dat we er zijn om elkaar te helpen,ook al is het maar met de kleine dingen, zeker in moeilijke tijden. Als vrouwen zijn we samen sterk, samen kunnen we de wereld aan.

WIC Canada collection: Ottawa

Ottawa is white and crisp, actually it reminds me of waking up in the morning, looking outside and see that there's a big layer of clean and fresh snow covering the world :) This true shimmery winter shade dries a little matte, so depending on what you like better you can wear it solo (i used 2 coats) or with a shiny topcoat. This color is great for a silver gitter gradient, hmmm I don't have one, so I am going to hunt for it ;) Enjoy!

Ottawa is wit en fris, het doet me denken aan een vers pak sneeuw op een heldere winterdag :) Deze winterse shimmer droogt mat op, dus het ligt er een beetje aan hoe je deze kleur wil dragen, solo (2 laagjes) of met een glanzende topcoat. Deze kleur is zeer geschikt voor een gradient look met zilveren glitters, helaas heb ik die niet in mijn bezit maar ga er nu maar snel naar op zoek haha. Enjoy!

Orly Out of this world

Out of this world is a stunning rich deep purple with supernatural effects. Words are not really needed here ;) 2 coats, no topcoat. Enjoy!

Out of this world is een prachtig dieppaars met prachtige cosmische effecten, woorden zijn overbodig bij deze lak ;) 2  laagjes, geen topcoat. Enjoy!

My skin and nails always suffer when seasons change and especially when fall sets in. Dry ichy skin, nails that break and unruly hair. Mijn haar en nagels hebben altijd flink te lijden als de seizoenen veranderen, en zeker als de herfst zijn intrede doet. Last weekend I added some nice things to my stash (at least in my opinion ;) My sweetie and I recently discovered gossip girl (I know last person on the planet to watch it I guess) and I can't get enough of it, Rufus and Lilly are too cute and man can they act, when they look at eachother I melt....So after finishing season 1 on dvd we purchased season 2 and we were lucky because warner had a special offer (every 2nd serie 50% discount) nothing helps you trough the cold and rainy autumn evenings like a great tv show. I also got myself the latest instyle, (nothing works better for me than some magazine therapy) two new Koh! polishes and 2 gorgeous eyeshadows from Bobbi brown, OMG they are sooooo pretty, I added some swatches of the eyeshadows, my swatches are certainly not the best around, but they give an idea of how stunning these eyeshadows are. Afgelopen weekend heb ik mezelf maar eens vertroetelt (blaadjes vallen van de bomen, soms heb je gewoon iets leuks nodig :) Mijn lief en ik zijn sinds kort helemaal verslaafd aan gossip girl (weet het beetje laat....) vooral Rufus en Lilly zijn bij ons favoriet, als die twee elkaar aankijken smelt ik (dat is echt knap acteerwerk ik wordt niet snel week haha) Dus toen we seizoen 1 hadden gekeken hebben we snel seizoen 2 aangeschaft (we hadden geluk want er was een actie elke 2e warner dvd voor de helft) en dat helpt je wel door de gure herfstavonden heen. Ik heb meteen de nieuwe InStyle meegenomen (nog een vorm van herfsttherapie, een fijn tijdschrift om te bladeren) 2 nieuwe koh! nagellakjes (midnight blue en metallic silver) en 2 ge-wel-dige oogschaduws van Bobbi Brown( black cocoa en black charcoal), OMG ze zijn zoooooo mooi, onderaan vind je de swacthes, ze zijn niet geweldig maar geven een goede indicatie van de kleuren.
